About the Artist

When he was 20 years old, Noah inherited tools from his grandfather and started experimenting with woodworking. A family friend was cleaning out their garage later that year and gifted Noah with some wood they had been storing. He used this wood to create his first live edge charcuterie board. Photos of the board were shared and people started talking — they loved his work! Requests started coming in for different sizes and Noah was happy to continue making boards. He sold so many the first year, he decided to start a business.

Noah worked full time as a concrete finisher, then he would come home to work on custom wood orders every day and on weekends. When he was in high school, he had a passion for turning pottery in ceramics class and this sparked an interest in turning wood. He used the money from his charcuterie board orders to buy a lathe and start creating bowls to go with his charcuterie boards.

With so many orders coming in, Tammy stepped in as his partner to help with marketing his work and talking with clients about custom orders. As his mother, she was amazed to see his creativity bloom and loved being part of it. Noah’s skills have grown and improved quickly since he started Handcrafted By Noah almost two years ago. He is always up for a challenge and has created many other wood projects including custom tables, mailboxes, coasters, flight boards and more.
